Macaroni salad

Hi everyone and welcome back to another blog post. Today as you can see on the the title we are going to make macaroni salad. This recipe is a similar recipe to the one they sell at L&L Hawaiian barbecue. Let’s get to the recipe!


  • 1 pound macaroni
  • 2 table spoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 1/4 onion, shredded (optional)
  • 2 1/2 cups of mayonnaise Best Foods or Hellman’s mayonnaise (no substitutes!)
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • kosher salt and pepper, to taste

step one: Boil macaroni until fully cooked.

step two: While still hot, drain water and put in bowl with onion, carrots, an vinegar. Let this cool for about 10-15 minutes.

step three: In a separate bowl mix mayonnaise, sugar, and milk.

step four: Mix mayonnaise mixture with macaroni mixture until the noodles are evenly coated with the mayonnaise.

step five: Let macaroni salad cool in fridge for 4 hours, but best overnight.

step six: When ready to eat, mix well and add milk, not no more than 1 or tablespoons.
