Hi everyone and welcome back to another blog! For this blog post I will be making chicken karage. Chicken karage is Japanese fried chicken. It is absolutely delirious! Lets get to the recipe!

Crisp Chicken Karaage with green beans and a wedge of lemon.


  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 table spoon sake
  • 25 grams fresh ginger (grated)
  • 900 grams skin-on boneless chicken thighs (cut into bite-size pieces)
  • 170 grams potato starch
  • vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges for serving)

step one: get your ginger, soy sauce, sake, and chicken, and put all of it in a plastic bag and let it marinade for about and 1 hour.

step two: once the chicken is done marinating, start to heat your oil to 375 degrees.

step three: coat your chicken with potato starch and let each piece of chicken fry for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.

step four: serve the chicken with rice and you’re ready to eat!
